Financial Source
I joined Financial Source at a critical time when their UX designer had to step away, leaving a gap in their team. Hired directly by Jarratt, the CEO at the time, I stepped in to make updates to the existing Financial Source platform, design new tools and resources for investors, and maintain their design systems with consistent component updates.
Financial Source needed a platform for their Conversion Portal Tool, designed entirely from scratch. The focus was on creating a seamless UX, including the landing page, blog, login flow, onboarding, and tool interface, while ensuring it fit their branding and ecosystem and was intuitive and easy to use.
I conducted competitive research to understand industry standards and identify opportunities for differentiation. Using these insights, I created a site map to organize the platform and collaborated with the CEO and developers to design the overall layout and user flow. This process ensured the platform was intuitive, cohesive, and aligned with Financial Source’s branding.
The landing pages were crafted to be clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, providing users with a seamless entry point to the platform and quick access to essential information.
The site’s detailed and text-heavy nature required a strong visual hierarchy to ensure clarity. I carefully structured the layout with ample whitespace, allowing the text to breathe and enhancing readability for users.
The onboarding process was designed to be straightforward and linear, guiding users step-by-step through account setup and leading seamlessly into the next phase of the user journey.
As the most intricate part of the platform, these pages demanded extensive iteration and refinement. I developed a solution that aligned with Financial Source’s branding and user needs, successfully launching the pages and continuously testing for improvement opportunities.
During my time at Financial Source, I worked on over 100 solutions, but I believe this case study highlights the key skills and approaches I applied across most of my work. My experience there reinforced the importance of testing solutions with users to ensure they meet real needs and deliver value. It was a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a platform that serves analysts and investors while growing my own understanding of user-centered design.
